# IPRATE

> IPRATE rates intellectual-property firms and attorneys in 32 European countries from official filing and outcome records at EUIPO, the EPO and the national IP offices, with no surveys, no submissions and no paid listings.

- Coverage: 598,873 IP firms and 68,556 attorneys analysed across 32 European countries.
- Evidence base: 21,413,159 official filing records (trademarks, designs, patents) from EUIPO, EPO and national IP offices.
- Published ratings: 23,338 firms and 12,057 attorneys cleared the evidence thresholds (typically the top 10–20% of filers per market).
- Two public ratings in each country / practice-area cohort. The top quarter is Top Rated. All other rated firms are Rated.
- Two labels can appear next to a rating. Fast Growing shows that a firm is one of the fastest-growing rated firms in its country and practice area. Specialist shows that a firm is in the top quarter for filings in one class.
- Every rating carries a confidence grade (A = High, B = Good, C = Moderate); grade D is never published.
- Ratings are never sold or sponsored. No surveys, no paid listings, official filing outcomes only.
- Data release: October 2026. Ratings are recomputed and republished with each data release.
